We are looking for you to be a mentor

As a mentor at Realgymnasiet, you will work on the development of a student group. You are part of the student health team and collaborate closely with teachers and student health professionals to ensure that our students have the best conditions for learning. You will primarily work with students' personal and academic development. In our vocational programs, their employability after graduation is an important part of the mission, and for students in preparatory programs, their desire and ability for further studies.

You will work on coaching our students, with motivational efforts, goal setting, and future planning. You will support students by assisting with study planning and study techniques. An important part of the role is to ensure that students' study plans are updated and align with the program's credit plan. The position also includes other administrative tasks.

You collaborate with the school's staff and drive the mentoring work from a broad perspective, based on the current educational offerings at the school. You will participate in student care work, maintain contact with guardians, plan and participate in mentoring sessions, development talks, parent meetings, and similar activities. You support students during the school day and in contact with teachers. Furthermore, you continuously and regularly work with our teachers to communicate goal achievement to the student. As a mentor, you have a holistic perspective with the student in focus.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, we see that you have:

• Completed pedagogical university or college education
• Previous experience in high school.

It is an advantage if you have a degree from the Study and Career Guidance Program.
